Check-in and check-out times are by appointment. Just like hotels, our staff needs time to clean, sanitize, and prepare each room between guests, so we ask that you arrive at your scheduled time. We make every attempt to accommodate special requests for early check-ins. We ask that all vaccines are current and on file at least 3 days before your visit.

Check-In / Check-Out Times:

Monday-Thursday: 7am-6pm

Saturday: 9am-11am & 4pm-5pm

Sundays: 11am-1pm & 4pm-6pm

We ask that you arrive one hour before closing time if you are dropping off or picking up your pet in the evening, as noted in the hours above. Any mid-day drop off or pickups while we are closed will incur a fee.

Food:

It is highly recommended that our pet parents supply their own food to not disrupt their pet's routine and digestive system. Food should be prepared in separate baggies and labeled clearly with the pet's first and last name for the entire length of stay. If you prefer for your pet to eat our house food, we offer high-quality dry food for a small fee.

Medications:

The Barkley team is trained to administer medications. Guests requiring specialized care are handled on a case-by-case basis. All medications must be clearly labeled, and include instructions with the pet’s name, type of medication, the reason for medication, dosage, and administration schedule. Information can be entered directly into your pet’s online profile or provided at check-in.

Belongings:

The Barkley is a full-service pet resort and provides all of the clean bedding necessary to comfort your pet while in our care. If you wish to bring items from home for your pet, this is perfectly fine too.

Health/Temperament:

In the best interest of all, each guest must meet our published vaccination standards before admittance. We recommend that all guests have needed vaccines 7 days before check-in and that records are shared with us at least 3 days before your stay. The Barkley reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet guest for any reason, at any time, who lacks proof of vaccinations, displays signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, demonstrates aggressive behavior, or who fails our standard health and temperament policies.

Entering/Exiting the resort:

For each pet’s safety, ALL pets entering and exiting The Barkley must be on a leash or in a carrier.
